Welcome back, friends. We hope you enjoyed a fantastic Spring Break. We are in the home stretch of the 2021-2022 school year, and we are finishing stronger than ever with some exciting community events and celebrations. From now through next week, we have upwards of 12 events, trips, and activities to look forward to and participate in.
Community is a key component in homeschool success. So often in our life pursuits we have to build community from the ground up and search far and wide to find our tribe. We hope you have and will continue to take advantage of the many opportunities to engage with the built-in network of friends and support within The Cottonwood School.
Join us and please support our students by attending the Art Show and Maker’s Market. Here you will experience some of our students work and creativity. You will have the opportunity to meet other homeschool families. I can guarantee, you will find yourself encouraged and inspired.
Additionally, we are so excited to be back in person and able to host a fantastic Curriculum Showcase. Here you will be able to meet and chat with our in-house community and learn about academic programs available to you and your students. There will be representatives from some popular curriculum vendors, our entire Lending Library will be on display, and you can consult with staff, preview, and begin to prepare for next year well in advance. Some popular learning centers and vendors will be in attendance as well. There will be so many fun activities and demonstrations for your kids to explore and engage in while you learn, connect, and find inspiration. We hope you will join us. More exciting details to come for this exciting and free event!
As you can see, you don’t have to build community on your own. We have so many doors you can walk through to meet other homeschool families and find the support that we all need to thrive. We are already in active planning mode for next year’s field trips, programs, and events to keep our families and students engaged in exciting and unique learning opportunities, make connections with the school and with friends, and continue to grow and flourish together.
Kindly,
Kara Parkins, Parent Support Advisor
