Cottonwood Families,

It’s incredible to think that this marks the final Wednesday Weekly of the official 23/24 school year. (Don’t worry, though – The Weekly will continue to find its way to your inbox throughout the summer.) As we reflect on the whirlwind of experiences we’ve shared – from your hard work in your homeschool, enriching field trips and lively park days to the camaraderie of Mondays at the CCC, the dedication of our teachers, and the triumphs of testing – it’s clear that our community has truly thrived.

We have found ourselves in awe of the wide-eyed wonder of transitional kindergarten to the confident strides of our high school graduates. Each moment has been a testament to the dedication, resilience, and boundless potential that define us.

This week, we not only celebrate the milestones of kindergarten and 8th-grade promotion and high school graduation, but we also honor every student across all grades for their unique accomplishments. Each achievement, no matter how big or small, weaves into the vibrant tapestry of our school community.

Next week, we bid farewell to our teachers, who embark on a well-deserved summer break. Let’s pause to express our deep gratitude for their unwavering support, guidance, and passion throughout the year. Their influence has been instrumental in shaping minds and hearts with care and compassion.

While our teachers recharge, your team of enthusiastic Family Liaisons eagerly anticipates spending the summer with you, continuing to nurture connections and build friendships.

Looking towards the summer ahead, let’s embrace a season of growth, exploration, and renewal. Here are a few ways to make the most of the break:

Mitigate Summer Learning Loss: Keep active minds engaged with educational activities that blend seamlessly into summer fun. Whether it’s math games on road trips or journaling during nature walks, there are endless opportunities to learn and grow.

Let’s cherish the memories we’ve created, the lessons we’ve learned, and the bonds we’ve forged during the 23/24 school year. We genuinely hope you have felt cared for, encouraged, and supported during your journey with us. Together, we’ve shown that with community and partnership, anything is possible.

Wishing you all a summer brimming with laughter, learning, and boundless possibilities.

Kindly,

Kara
