The Cottonwood School offers two pathways for high school students: the homestudy pathway and the Cottonwood College Prep Academy (CCPA) hybrid pathway.
Homestudy High School Pathway
The homestudy pathway allows families to create a custom education plan for their students with the support and guidance of a credentialed homeschool teacher (HST). Students receive instructional funds to pay for curriculum, events and field trips, supplies, or classes. Optional virtual classes are available through CVHS and Career Technical Education pathways (CTE).
High school students in the homestudy pathway can participate in National Honor Society, NCAA-approved courses, college and career planning through the School Counseling Department, and concurrent enrollment opportunities with local community colleges.
Hybrid High School Pathway
Cottonwood College Prep Academy (CCPA) is a hybrid high school pathway that includes in-person instruction in English, Science, Social Science, Video Productions, and mandatory online courses in Mathematics and World Language. Our pathway incorporates Design Thinking, emphasizing the creation and testing of innovative solutions to tackle complex, unfamiliar challenges. Students will actively participate in hands-on activities such as prototyping, robotics, Model UN simulations, and theater as well as engage in mentorships and internships to further develop their skills and real-world experience.
